JAN -2 1991 <br />f300K 82 E 4 ucEj- <br />Mr. Pitiak asked, in the event the County and the developer <br />are agreeable on the price, how the County proposes to pay for <br />this utility and where the funding would come from. <br />Director Pinto explained that before you can answer those <br />type of questions, you must es.tablish the value and look at where <br />the funds would come from and how,it would be funded. It is <br />something where the County has several options, and without a <br />doubt, the money has to come from the utility system or those who <br />are benefiting from the utility system. It cannot come in any <br />way from the tax dollars of Indian River County. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE.QUESTION. The Motion <br />was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />Commissioner Scurlock noted that in the event the County <br />decides to acquire the GDU facility, the entire matter will be <br />subject to public hearings and Mr. Pitiak would be able to voice <br />his opinions on the matter at that time. <br />ASSIGNMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />UPDATE OF CODE - PROPOSED TITLE IV - CONTRACTOR AND BUILDING <br />REGULATIONS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 1/9/91: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners/l <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien V <br />Assistant County Attorney <br />DATE: January 9, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: PROPOSED TITLE IV - CONTRACTOR <br />AND BUILDING REGULATIONS <br />As part of the Commission's ongoing program to update all <br />regulations into a new code, Title IV, Contractor and <br />Building Regulations has been prepared. It consists of <br />Chapter 400 - Regulation of Contractors, Chapter 401 - <br />Building Codes, and Chapter 402 - Costal Construction Code. <br />Proposed Title IV is attached. <br />Permission to advertise these ordinances is hereby sought. <br />A public hearing on February 26, 1991 is recommended. <br />37 <br />
