10:30 a.m. <br />10:31 a.m. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Davis, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Solari, to approve: (1) the draft letter; (2) adding <br />Chairman O'Bryan's signature block; and (3) add text stating <br />stormwater discharges in lieu of freshwater. <br />Mike Ziegler spoke in support of the draft letter and moving <br />forward with the water supply plan. <br />David Cox supported moving forward, felt it would be important <br />to figure out a strategy, and to consult with experts. <br />Bob Johnson sought and received clarification regarding the <br />Regional Jurisdictional Water Supply Plan. <br />Bob Adair, Indian River County Soil and Water Conservation <br />District, supported moving forward with the draft letter and <br />scheduling a workshop. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE OUESTION and the Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />The Chairman called for a break at 10:50 a.m., and reconvened <br />the meeting at 11:02 a.m., with all members present <br />13. Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA) Research <br />Review Committee <br />(memorandum dated April 29, 2014) <br />Chairman O'Bryan said he was asked to serve on the Ocean <br />Research and Conservation Association (ORCA) Research <br />Review Committee, and requested the Board authorize travel <br />for attending the meetings. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Davis, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />travel within the state of Florida to attend Ocean Research and <br />Conservation Association (ORCA) Research Review Committee <br />meetings. <br />Board of County Commission Minutes <br />May 6, 2014 Page 8 <br />
