Thompson, P.E�j� <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Amendment No 1 to Professional Services <br />Treasure Shores Park Land Management Plan <br />DATE: February 19, 1991 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Brad Smith Associates, Inc. is under contract with Indian <br />River County to prepare a supplement to the Treasure Shores <br />Land Management Plan including a detailed Biological <br />Assessment as requested by the Bureau of Land Management <br />Services. The supplement was submitted to the Bureau of <br />Land Management Services in November and they distributed it <br />to various agencies for comments. <br />Based on comments that have been received on the supplement <br />and on the original Management Plan from the Bureau of Land <br />Management Services and the Fish and Wildlife Service, the <br />site plan contained in the original Management Plan dated <br />July 1989 should be revised and resubmitted. <br />The attached amendment provides for revising the Master Plan <br />as follows: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />Delete hammock campground and <br />west side of AlA. <br />Delete seaside campsites. <br />Delete sand volleyball courts <br />Delete convenience store and <br />oceanfront area. <br />village rentals on <br />on beach. <br />beach rentals from <br />Eliminate north/south road which has no abutting <br />parking from oceanfront area. <br />The compensation due the Consultant for the attached <br />amendment is $2,450. This, added to the current contract <br />amount of $11,152.50 for Work Order No 1 will result in a <br />new contract amount of $13,602.50. <br />The Land Management Advisory Council has tabled <br />consideration of the Treasure Shores Park Land Management <br />Plan until April so that the above revisions can be made. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the attached Amendment No 1 to the <br />Professional Services Agreement between Brad Smith <br />Associates, Inc. and Indian River County. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Let the Land Management Advisory Council consider <br />the original Management Plan dated July 1989 and <br />the supplement dated October 1990 without making <br />revisions to the site plan. <br />41 <br />FEB 26 K <br />600K <br />
