PROGRAM CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - COURTHOUSE PROJECT SELECTION <br />COMMITTEE_ REPORT <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/4/91: <br />DATE: MARCH 4, 1991 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVI <br />SUBJECT: PROGRAM CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - COURTHOUSE PROJECT <br />SELECTION COMMITTEE REPORT <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On Friday, March 1, 1991, the Selection Committee for the subject <br />project met to hear oral presentations from the five short-listed <br />firms. <br />The following final short list was determined: <br />1. Centrex Rooney Construction Company <br />2. Sverdrup Corporation <br />3. CRSS Constructors, Inc. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS• <br />Staff request authority to negotiate a contract with the firms as <br />outlined in Florida State Statue 287.055. The contract will be <br />brought back to the Board for final approval. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wheeler, that the Board authorize <br />staff to negotiate a contract with the 3 firms listed <br />in the above staff recommendation. <br />Under discussion, Chairman Bird asked if any local firms had <br />bid on this project, and General Services Director Sonny Dean <br />advised that two local firms had gone together with larger firms <br />and one had submitted by itself. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The Motion was <br />voted on and carried unanimously. <br />27 <br />
