MAR 99� <br />ANALYSIS• <br />BOOKW P'CE �14 , <br />The March 12th Board meeting agenda has scheduled a utility rate <br />increase public hearing. This item will consume a great deal of time <br />at that meeting. Staff has been instructed to keep agenda items at a <br />minimum to facilitate the scheduled public hearing. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />In keeping with our schedule and based on the above, it is requested <br />that staff be authorized to provide the Board with three short listed <br />PCM firms, in priority on Friday, March 1, 1991, after the selection <br />committee meeting, and action be taken by the Board at their regular <br />meeting on March 5, 1991, to allow negotiations with the firms as <br />outlined in the Florida State Statues. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to negotiate with the firms as set out in the <br />above staff recommendation. <br />REQUEST BY JOE BERLIN FOR 25% COUNTY REIMBURSEMENT FOR PAVING 7TH <br />AVENUE SOUTH OF 10TH STREET <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis presented the following <br />staff recommendation of Alternative No. 1 whereby the County <br />would not participate in the funding: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Request by Joe Berlin for 25% County <br />Reimbursement for Paving 7th Avenue <br />South of 10th Street <br />DATE: February 6, 1991 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Scotad, Inc. (Joe and Adam Berlin, Principals) has developed <br />the new Shoney's Restaurant on U.S. 1 south of 104L ---h Street. <br />The Corporation is also planning to construct a Comfort Inn <br />Hotel/Motel on the adjoining property. A condition of Site <br />Plan approval is that an approximately 500 foot portion of <br />7th Avenue abutting the site to the east must be paved prior <br />to a Certificate of Occupancy being issued for the proposed <br />30 <br />
