MAR 5 �99`� <br />BOOK <br />' PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING MARCH 6, 1991 <br />AS RSVP DAY IN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, 505 senior volunteers, members of The Retired <br />Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Indian River County donated a <br />total of 95,000 hours of volunteer service to Indian River County <br />which translates into $500,000 of work it saved the community; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, to honor these unselfish senior citizens, the <br />Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Indian River County will hold <br />its fourt=h e.nnua] Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday, March 6, <br />1991 at the Polish American Club; and <br />WHEREAS, The RSVP is sponsored by the Indian River County <br />Council on Aging and ACTION, the federal volunteer agency; and <br />} <br />WHEREAS, RSVP is foundf-d on dedication and a commitment to <br />provide a variety of opportunities for retired persons who are <br />age 60 or more to partinipAr more fully in life through <br />significant volunteer service; and <br />WHEFEAS, Indian River County benefits greatly by the <br />thousands of volunteer hours that senior citizens donate each <br />year; and <br />WHEREAS, presently more than 45 non-profit organizations and <br />agencies have senior volunteers doinq a number of challenging and <br />interesting volunteer jobs in onr. community: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that Wednesday, <br />March 6, 1991 be designated as <br />RSVP DAY <br />in Indian River County. <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board commends the <br />unselfish senior citizen. volunteers who donate their time and <br />efforts in this County. <br />Adopted this 5th day of March, 1991 <br />4 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COP1MISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Richard N.
