STATE AID TO LIBRARIES GRANT AGREEMENT <br />Administrator Chandler requested execution of the Grant <br />Agreement by the Commission and explained this item was added to <br />the Agenda because it must be returned to Tallahassee by <br />April 1st. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the Grant <br />Agreement for State Aid to Libraries. <br />SAID DOCUMENT WILL BE PLACED IN THE FILES IN THE OFFICE OF <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD WHEN FULLY EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />ACTUARIAL STUDY <br />The Board reviewed memo from Risk Manager Beth Jordan dated <br />March 13, 1991: <br />TO: James Chandler, County Administrator <br />THRU: Jack Price, Personnel Directori�:a-�- <br />FROM: Beth Jordan, Risk Manager's <br />DATE: 13 March 1991 <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Request; Actuarial Study <br />Please consider the following item for inclusion on the March 26, <br />1991, Board of County Commissioners' agenda. <br />Background <br />On March 20, 1990, the Board approved of the utilization of Coopers <br />& Lybrand for the annual actuarial study of the self-insurance <br />program with the understanding that a request for proposals would <br />be issued for the 1991 study. Subsequently, the Board on August <br />24, 1990, approved an agreement with Coopers & Lybrand for County- <br />wide audit services, including actuarial services, which included y <br />the stipulation that costs for actuarial services were to be _ <br />negotiated at the time the services were requested and were to <br />include submission of a written proposal by the auditor. That <br />proposal has been received and the not -to -exceed costs of <br />$10,600.00 are the same as in 1990. One of the benefits of again <br />using this firm is their knowledge of the County's program and <br />their experience with the specific loss history. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the Board approve the use of Coopers & Lybrand's <br />.actuarial services based upon the firm's written proposal at a not - <br />to -exceed cost of $10,600.00. <br />27 <br />MAR 6,, i � BOOK PAuE1b e�`�y� <br />
