APR iG 1991 <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis wished to advise the Board <br />that the U.S. Navy had contacted him regarding their ability to <br />mobilize immediately to remove the tank trap obstacles in the surf <br />in the South Beach area and he has made arrangements to supply a <br />bulldozer and front-end loader to take the hazardous objects out of <br />the surf. <br />Chairman Bird wanted to announce, while we were on the subject <br />of parks, the groundbreaking for Treasure Shores Park on North AlA <br />will be at 3:30 tomorrow, with everyone invited. McCAIN <br />AND STAFFED CAPITAL PROJECTS ENGINEER <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />FINAL RESOLUTION <br />I SUBJECT: POTABLE WATER MAIN - U.S. 1 FROM 10TH STREET TO <br />SOUTH RELIEF CANAL <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. US -87 -05 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Department of Utility Services: .has made the final payment to the <br />Department of Transportation for the above -listed job. Therefore, <br />we are now proceeding with the final assessment for this project and <br />are seeking approval of Final Resolution. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The final assessment is in the amount of $157,116.50, at a cost per <br />square foot of $.34110083. This equates to about a 20% reduction in <br />the assessment. (See attached Final Resolution and accompanying <br />assessment for details.) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the As -Built Resolution for <br />the final assessment role on this project. <br />62 <br />
