Petition Hearing scheduled for October 19, 2010, as <br />recommended in the memorandum of September 15, 2010. <br />15. B. 2. REQUEST FOR GENERAL FUNDS — PACE PROJECT AND OTHER COMMUNITY <br />PROJECTS <br />Himanshu Mehta, Managing Director of the Solid Waste Disposal District, described <br />how the requested funds have helped the PACE (Protocol for Assessing Community Excellence) <br />Program by paying for the landfill fees associated with the demolition and reconstruction of <br />abandoned homes. He noted that the funds are also used for other clean-up/illegal dumping <br />projects. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Solari, SECONDED by <br />Chairman O'Bryan, the Board unanimously authorized up <br />to $15,000.00 be donated to the PACE (Protocol for <br />Assessing Community Excellence) Project from the <br />General Fund Reserve for Contingencies for the sole <br />purpose of paying associated landfill fees, as requested in <br />the letter of August 4, 2010 from Julianne Price, Statewide <br />PACE Coordinator, and recommended in staff's <br />memorandum of September 10, 2010. <br />ALL BACKUP DOCUMENTATION, RESOLUTIONS, AND ORDINANCES ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD AND ARE HEREBY MADE A PART OF THESE MINUTES <br />4 <br />October 5, 2010/SWDD <br />
