MIAY 14 1991 <br />LqLo. 83 !,, 0j� �i <br />Chairman Bird felt that could hurt some small businesses, <br />but Commissioner Scurlock pointed out that they are allowed 3 <br />false alarms free as it is. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard. <br />There were none, and he thereupon closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, Chairman Bird voting in opposition, <br />the Board by a 4 to 1 vote adopted Ordinance 91-21, <br />adding a new Chapter 301 - False Alarms, with fees <br />for false alarms in excess of 3 to be set at $100 - <br />$200 - $300 as discussed. <br />ORDINANCE 91-21 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 301 - <br />FALSE ALARMS. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is in the process of <br />enacting a new code of Ordinances, and <br />WHEREAS,' this ordinance has for its purpose the <br />editorial transfer of the regulations governing False Alarms <br />from the old code to the new code., <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />SECTION 1. NEW CHAPTER <br />A new Chapter 301, False Alarms, as set forth in <br />Attachment "A" to this ordinance is hereby adopted. <br />SECTION 2. REPEAL <br />Those portions of the Indian River County Code. <br />(1974) superseded or in conflict with the provisions herein <br />adopted, in particular Chapter 11, are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, or if any sentence, paragraph, <br />phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to <br />be unconstitutional, inoperative, or void, such holding <br />shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, <br />and it shall be construed to have been the legislative <br />26 <br />
