CLARIFICATIONS/CORRECTIONS/ADDITIONS/QUESTIONS: <br /> Pre-bid meeting—questions: <br /> QUESTION: Can the sidewalk be closed during construction? <br /> ANSWER: The sidewalk can be closed during construction. <br /> QUESTION: Does a temporary sidewalk need to be in place for the existing segments of sidewalk? <br /> ANSWER: Because the existing sidewalk segments are not continuous, both the existing sidewalks within the <br /> project area and proposed sidewalks can be closed during construction. No temporary sidewalk will need to be in <br /> place during construction. <br /> QUESTION: Does the Contractor need to be FDOT Certified? <br /> ANSWER: NO <br /> QUESTION: Does the concrete need to be from a FDOT Certified Plant? <br /> ANSWER: No <br /> QUESTION: Is there a preferred end of the sidewalk to start on? <br /> ANSWER:The preferred end to start construction is at 45th Street. Once the segment between 45th Street and 41�` <br /> Street is complete, It is preferred to open this segment to allow school access in the area. <br /> QUESTION: Is a pre-construction conditions video required? If so, is a third party required to take it? <br /> ANSWER:The CONTRACTOR shall make provisions, at his expense, for photographs and video tapes of all work <br /> areas just prior to construction, and for unusual conditions during construction.The photographs and videos shall <br /> show pertinent physical features along the line of construction. The purpose of the videos is to determine any <br /> damage to private or public property during construction. The video must be performed by a professional <br /> videographer. (See Section 01215 GENERAL QUALITY CONTROL, Division 1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS of the <br /> Contract Documents). <br /> QUESTION: What happens in event of rain delays? <br /> ANSWER: In the event of rain delays, when mutually agreed upon by county and Contractor, additional time to the <br /> contract time can be added. <br /> QUESTION: What are the work hours? <br /> ANSWER: Work hours are from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. (See SC6.026of <br /> Section 00800-Supplementary Conditions the General Conditions in the Contract Documents) <br /> CLARIFICATION <br /> Line Item 527-1 DETECTABLE WARNING ON EXISTING WALKING SURFACES QUANTITY 8, is intended for use on <br /> existing walking surfaces.
