Wednesday, May 15, 1991 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />May 15, 1991, at 5:*01 o'clock P.M. Present were Gary C. Wheeler, <br />Vice Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. <br />Absent were Richard N. Bird, Chairman, and Carolyn K. Eggert. <br />Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; <br />Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Vice Chairman apologized for having been delayed at <br />another meeting and called the meeting to order at 5:08 P.M. He <br />announced that, as advertised, this is the second hearing on <br />minor amendments to the LDRs - staff initiated changes and the <br />McDowell request. <br />Planning Director Boling made the following presentation: <br />TO: James E. K a i g A <br />Community Develo a irector <br />FROM: Stan Boling-f§CP <br />Planning Director <br />DATE: May 6, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: "Second Round" Minor Amendments to the LDRs: <br />Staff -initiated Changes and McDowell Request <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its special <br />night meeting (second, final hearing) of May 15, 1991. <br />BACKGROUND AND CONDITIONS: <br />At its special meeting of May 1, 1991, the Board considered the <br />above -referenced proposed LDR amendments. The Board indicated that <br />only one section of the proposed ordinance, Section 12 (McDowell - <br />initiated request regarding dock/boat shelter regulations) required <br />further research and analysis. Staff have researched the issues <br />that concerned the Board and are proposing some changes to the May <br />1st draft.
