Although the methodology used to calculate the <br />average passenger trip length of 0.72 reported in 2006 resulted in a significantly understated <br />number, the methodology was corrected beginning with the 2007 report. Even with the 2006 <br />anomaly, there has been a positive trend in average trip length which may be due in part to <br />better service design and the need for fewer transfers.
