Improve and enhance community-based <br /> programs that address the unique challenges of adolescents' health social behaviors, <br /> positive self-esteem, develop healthy relationships and make positive higher education <br /> and career decisions. <br /> Taxonomy#: <br /> Homeless Shelter BH-180.850 — Program that provides a temporary place to stay for <br /> people who have no permanent housing. Child Abuse Prevention — FN— protect <br /> children from physical, sexual and /or emotional abuse or exploitation through a variety <br /> of educational interventions which may focus on children of various ages, parents, <br /> people who work with children and/or parents regarding ways of avoiding or handling an <br /> abusive situation and/or information about the indicators and incidence of abuse, <br /> requirement for reporting abuse and community resources that are available to children <br /> who have been abused and to their families. <br /> Program Description: <br /> This program is designed to offer long-term transitional housing and guidance to the <br /> homeless families in Indian River County, and prepare them to live independently. Adult <br /> clients attend budget, parenting,job and life skill training as well as Mental Health <br /> Counseling sessions, they also obtain employment and follow a four tiered level <br /> program prior to graduating the program.
