Program Description: (3-5 Lines) <br /> This program is designed to positively impact the lives of migrant farmworkers and rural poor <br /> families by providing high quality child care, kindergarten readiness activities and family support <br /> services that empower parents to become leaders in their children's education. <br /> Collaboration: Early Learning Coalition <br /> Comment: <br /> GOALS/OUTCOMES REPORT (10/1/11 - 9/30/12) <br /> 1. To maintain the increased number of infants and toddlers served at RCMA Whispering <br /> Pines during the 2011-2012 program year at a total of twenty-two (22) additional slots as <br /> reported by the enrollment records. Baseline: 2007-2008 enrollment records for infants <br /> and toddlers. <br /> 39 infants and toddlers have been served in the RCMA Whispering Pines Child <br /> Development Center as of September 30th. <br /> 2. To increase to 100% the number of infants and toddlers who receive health screenings <br /> and on-going developmental assessments within 45 days of center's opening date as <br /> evidenced by information in RCMA's Child and Family database system, PROMIS. <br /> Baseline: 2007-2008 PROMIS report and ELAP booklets. <br /> Goal Met <br /> 3. To continuously improve the quality of child care, family services, and staff professional <br /> development by maintaining accreditation through a nationally recognized accrediting <br /> agency for the upcoming program year and through regular use of ongoing monitoring and <br /> classroom observation tools. Baseline: Certificate of Accreditation from the National <br /> Accreditation Commission and use of the ITERS/ECERS through the Early Learning <br /> Coalition. <br /> Whispering Pines CDC continues to be a nationally accredited child development center <br /> having received national accreditation through the National Accreditation Commission <br /> effective 11/3/2011 - 11/3/2014. The Early Learning Coalition assessed the center in April <br /> 2011 using the Environmental Rating Scales. The score for VPK was 4.39, 2 year olds <br /> 3.97 and 1 year olds was 4.23.
