Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) Agreement— <br /> Amendment No. 1 and Resolution Authorizing the Chairman's Signature <br /> Construction (Reconstruction) of CR512 Eastbound Lanes Only from <br /> Roseland Road to Easy Street <br /> FM No. 427572-1-58-01 IRC Project No. 1132 <br /> DATE: October 1, 2013 <br /> DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br /> On June 18, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners entered into a Small County Outreach <br /> Program (SCOP) Agreement FM No. 427572-1-58-01 with the Florida Department of <br /> Transportation (FDOT) for construction (reconstruction) of CR512 Eastbound Lanes Only from <br /> Roseland Road to Easy Street for a total estimated project cost of$621,226.00(75%FDOT funding <br /> in the amount of$465,920.00 with the County's cost share of 25%or$155,306.50). Originally,the <br /> cost estimate for the project was based on milling and resurfacing the roadway, however the <br /> pavement conditions deteriorated to a point where rehabilitation (full-depth reclamation)of the <br /> roadway was considered necessary and the project was bid for full-depth reclamation. On May 14, <br /> 2013, Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. was awarded the bid for this project, in the amount of <br /> $1,049,787.70, which includes a force account amount of $50,000 which is not funded by the <br /> FDOT. <br /> The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has requested Indian River County execute and <br /> deliver to the FDOT the attached Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement to increase SCOP funding <br /> in the amount of $378,562.00 as a result of the approved bid amount. Staff agrees with the <br /> increase of SCOP funding.
