Property Acquisition 5170/5182 85"' Street Plante Properh <br /> September 30, 2013 — Page Two of Two <br /> • The County needs to acquire a total of 75 parcels to widen this section of the CR510 <br /> Project, with the parcel acquisition breakdown as follows: <br /> 1. Right-of-way(R/W)parcels= 29 <br /> 2. Temporary construction easements(TCEs) = 28 <br /> 3. Drainage easements (DEs)= 18 <br /> Total = 75 <br /> This acquisition represents one parcel (full take for retention pond). Combined with <br /> previous acquisitions, this would reduce the overall total of parcels needed from 75 to 58. <br /> Staff also has 2 pending acquisitions, which would further reduce the total from 58 to 56. <br /> FUNDING <br /> For FY 13/14, $1,648,791 has been budgeted in Optional Sales Tax/ROW/CR 510-55`h <br /> Ave to Indian River,Acct# 31521441-066120-05023,with nothing being encumbered or <br /> expended year to date. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> The Board's options include the following: <br /> Option l: Approve the transaction, purchasing the retention pond site containing 2.04 <br /> acres for the purchase price of$571,677 inclusive of all fees and costs. <br /> Option 2: Reject the terms of the Agreement and continue to negotiate. <br /> Staff recommends Option 1: The Board of County Commissioners approves the purchase <br /> of the property at a total price of$571,677 and authorizes the Chairman to sign the <br /> Purchase and Sale Agreement. <br /> ATTACHMENT <br /> Two"Originals"of the Purchase Agreements <br /> DISTRIBUTION <br /> Indian River County ApproXed Date <br /> Christopher R.
