Brown, Budget Director <br /> FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manage" <br /> SUBJECT: Declare Excess Equipment Surplus for Trade-In <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Animal Control recently purchased a new taser as a replacement for one that would no longer fire. <br /> Although the unit was deemed unserviceable and out of warranty, the vendor has offered $100 trade <br /> discount for it. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners declare the defective taser, asset 24253 <br /> (purchased in July of 2007 for $1,544.25), surplus and authorize the Animal Control Division to <br /> trade it to DGG Taser, Inc. for a $100 discount on the purchase of the new taser. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> DGG Taser, Inc.
