LDR Amendment to Regulate <br />Location and Sound Mitigation of <br />Outdoor Mechanical Equipment <br />in Developments with <br />Reduced Yard Setbacks <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />December 10, 2013 <br />Background <br />7/2/13 and 9/10/13 BCC public discussion items: <br />• Pool heater noise violation code case in Millstone <br />Landing (Charles and Lisa Fannin, 2820 Grand Isle Way) <br />• Pool heater located in side yard of a Planned <br />Development (PD) with reduced setbacks (5' minimum) <br />• Question: should County noise ordinance decibel levels <br />be revised, or other solution (i.e., sound barrier wall) <br />• Conclusion: decibel thresholds should not be changed. <br />Instead, County should develop procedures to minimize <br />noise impacts of mechanical equipment in developments <br />with reduced yard setbacks. <br />C A, I <br />Ia l0 Z01� <br />169.1 <br />
