Gray, Jr. Q <br />Coastal Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Notice of Scheduled Public Meeting to discuss the goals and objectives <br />of the forthcoming update to the County's Beach Preservation Ian <br />DATE: November 27, 2013 <br />It is requested that the following information be given formal consideration by the <br />County Commissioners during the regularly scheduled meeting on December 10, 2013. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Board of <br />Indian River County is currently updating the County Beach Preservation Plan (BPP). In an effort <br />to keep the public informed staff intends to conduct two (2) public meetings. The first public <br />meeting will explain the goals and objectives of the BPP update and will solicit public input on <br />potential beach management strategies. The second public meeting will be held following <br />development of the beach management strategies and completion of coastal numerical <br />modeling. <br />Please be advised that the first public meeting for the BPP update will be held in the County <br />P <br />Commission Chambers on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The recommendation of staff is to include the above referenced public meeting noti�e on the <br />December 10, 2013 Board of County Commission Agenda. <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM <br />FOR: December 10, 2013 <br />V.
