Dear Mr:Burke: <br /> At your request, we are hereby submitting our proposal to provide professional services for the <br /> above subject project. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> It is our understanding that Indian River County Department of Utilities intends to provide an <br /> interconnect between the South County RO (SRO) Water Treatment Facility and the North <br /> Couth RO (NRO) Water Treatment Facility, in an effort to provide increased reliability of the <br /> overall County potable water system. Currently the SRO water treatment facility has the ability <br /> to only feed water from its storage tanks to the distribution system. <br /> As such, the proposed modification is intended to allow the SRO storage tanks to be filled from <br /> the existing distribution system during periods of low flows. More specifically it is proposed to <br /> backfeed water being generated from the North RO plant during the lower demanding nighttime <br /> hours.
