MAY 9411991, <br />D <br />ANALYSIS <br />PICO <br />i,,%t 4' <br />Attached is- Work Authorization No. 1 with Post, Buckley, Schuh & <br />Jernigan, Inc.. The contract is broken into two parts; the outline <br />of services is as follows: <br />Part 1 <br />Task 1 - Consumptive Use Permitting <br />Task 2 - Design of Production Wells and Testing Program <br />Task 3 - Bidding and Contractor Selection <br />Task 4 - Well Drilling, Construction and Testing Services, <br />Preparation of Technical Report <br />A detailed fee summary is.attached to the budget section of the Work <br />Authorization, along with a detailed Scope of Services. There are <br />two proposal options attached. One preferred option is a lump sum <br />.charge (upper limit) of $57,888.00; the second option is in the <br />amount of $49,167.00. The difference .between options is in the <br />amount of inspection services. Alternate (Part 1, Task 4, attached) <br />has the specific items highlighted which call out the differences. <br />In both work options there are two contingency fees totaling <br />$10,000.00, which may or may not be necessary. One is Part 1, Task <br />1, Subtask F (CUP Application Follow-up). The second one titled <br />Contingency -in Task 4, Section Contingency. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Work <br />Authoriz atiod- with alternate No. 1 with PBS&J. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Work Authorization Number One with Post, <br />Buckley, Schuh and Jernigan, Inc., as recommended by <br />Staff. <br />SAID DOCUMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 1, NORTH BEACH WELLS <br />The Board reviewed memo from Capital Projects Engineer William <br />McCain dated May 13, 1991: <br />65 <br />
