Gray, Jr., Coastal Engineer J <br /> p L <br /> SUBJECT: Approval of Professional Coastal Engineering and Coastal Environmental <br /> Services Agreement, RFQ No. 2012050 <br /> DATE: March 8, 2013 <br /> DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br /> On August 15, 2012, a Request for Qualifications (RFQ No. 2012050) was advertised in the <br /> Vero Beach Press Journal newspaper and on DEMANDSTAR, a nationwide internet-based <br /> government bid site. The RFQ was for professional Coastal Engineering and Coastal <br /> Environmental services for a variety of future projects that may be authorized by Indian River <br /> County. The RFQ was divided into two (2) separate parts... Part 1: Coastal Engineering <br /> r <br /> Services, and Part 2: Coastal Environmental Services. <br /> On December 11, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners approved the selection of one (1) <br /> firm for Part 1: Professional Coastal Engineering Services and the selection of one (1) firm for <br /> Part 2: Professional Coastal Environmental Services and authorized staff to begin Contract <br /> negotiations with the selected firms. The Contracts are for a two (2) years term, with one <br /> renewal option of two (2) years upon satisfactory service from each of the selected firms. <br /> The selected firms who submitted Professional Services Agreements and fee schedules are: <br /> Part 1: Coastal Engineering Services <br /> Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc. (now a CB&I Company), Boca Raton, Florida <br /> Part 2: Coastal Environmental Services <br /> Ecological Associates, Inc., Jensen Beach, Florida <br /> County staff has negotiated fee schedules with the two (2) selected firms. The fee schedules <br /> are considered to reflect fair and competitive rates for comparable professional services and <br /> tasks.
