Gifford Neighborhood Plan Existing Conditions <br /> easy access to several employment centers. In fact, no other area of the county is as close to as many employment opportunities as <br /> Gifford. Despite that fact, Gifford residents have lower median household and per capita incomes than the county as a whole. <br /> According to Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ) data, the three TAZs in Gifford contain approximately 1,750 employees. Of these 1,750 <br /> employees, 160 are employed in the industrial sector, 742 in the commercial sector, and 848 in the service sector. The 7 TAZs <br /> surrounding Gifford have a combined 1,017 employees. In total, Gifford and the surrounding area contain about 2,767 employees. <br /> Crime <br /> The Indian River County Sheriff's Office maintains crime figures for the unincorporated county for Part 1 crime incidents.
