Mora, P.E., Public Works Director O"'-" <br /> From: Lynn Williams, Facilities Manager/Project Manager to <br /> Subject: RFQ 2013024– Professional Roof Evalu 'on, D gn and Contract <br /> Administration Services Relating to the existing roof of the Indian River County <br /> Administration Building – Consultant Selection <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On October 16, 2012, The Board authorized the issuance of an RFQ to seek the Professional <br /> Services of qualified Roof Consultants for the Evaluation, Design and Contract Administration <br /> Services for the Indian River County Administration Complex. An RFQ was developed and <br /> issued for solicitation on January 18, 2013. A total of 37 firms downloaded the RFQ and 10 firms <br /> provided written proposals which were received on February 15, 2013. <br /> The evaluation committee was comprised of the following members as approved by the County <br /> �.. Administrator: <br /> Lynn Williams Facilities Manager/Project Manager <br /> Chris Mora Public Works Director <br /> Chris Kafer County Engineer <br /> Jason Brown Budget Director <br /> Joe Williams Consultant with ARC Roof Consultants <br /> Written responses were evaluated based on criteria contained in the RFQ and a short list was <br /> developed for individual interviews of the firms. Presentations/Interviews were held Friday, April <br /> 12, 2013 for the 3 firms ranked highest based on review of the written responses to the RFQ. <br /> The final ranking was as follows: <br /> 1) C. B Goldsmith and Associates Clearwater, Florida <br /> 2) Professional Service Industries (PSI) Orlando Florida <br /> 3) REI Engineering Bonita Springs Florida <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends that the Board approve the final ranking as submitted by the Evaluation <br /> Committee and authorize staff to begin negotiations with C. B. Goldsmith Associates of <br /> Clearwater, the highest ranked firm, to develop a scope of services and contract form for future <br /> approval of the Board.
