PROCLAMATION <br /> HONORING BRANDON ROBERT MC KAY <br /> FOR ATTAINING THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT <br /> WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Award is the highest rank in Scouting and a young man must <br /> exemplify the highest ideals of the Boy Scout movement in his daily life to qualify for this rank; and <br /> WHEREAS, Brandon is a valued member of Boy Scout Troop 513 where he has held many <br /> leadership positions and has served the Scouting Program for many years; earning the six ranks of, <br /> Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, in preparation for becoming an Eagle Scout. He <br /> earned a minimum of 21 merit badges, in addition to many other requirements which demonstrated his <br /> skills, leadership and devotion to the movement; and <br /> WHEREAS, Brandon has truly exhibited a commitment to the Scouting principals while <br /> participating in other leadership positions such as his Church, Saint Helen's, and many of their activities, <br /> most notably the annual Harvest Festival; and served as a very active member and officer of Scouting's <br /> Honor Camper Society, the Order of the Arrow, where he attained full Brotherhood Membership status; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Brandon has faithfully studied and learned the skills of the outdoors on numerous <br /> short and long term camping experiences and attended the Centennial National Boy Scout Jamboree in <br /> honor of the 100th Anniversary of Scouting at Fort A. P. Hill in Virginia; and <br /> WHEREAS, Brandon has expressed his intention to become a United States Marine, upon <br /> graduation from high school, so that he may continue to do his duty to God and Country; and <br /> WHEREAS, Brandon is a valued member of Boy Scout Troop 513 where he has held many <br /> leadership positions and has served in the Scouting Program for many years. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board recognizes the <br /> accomplishments of Brandon Robert McKay, and honors him for his achievement. <br /> Adopted this 18th day of June, 2013 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br /> J :eh 9.
