ORDINANCE 2013- <br /> person who (a) has legal or equitable title to real property with a just value of less than <br /> $250,000, (b) has maintained his or her residence on theproperty for at least 25 years, (c) <br /> has attained the age of 65 and (d) whose household income does not exceed the amount <br /> prescribed in §196.075(3), Florida Statutes as adjusted from time to time. Any person <br /> claiming this exemption shall annually submit to the property appraiser, not later than <br /> March 1 a sworn statement of household income on a form prescribed by the Florida <br /> Department of Revenue This exemption shall apply only to taxes levied by the County, <br /> and specifically shall apply to all tax levies of the County, including dependent special <br /> districts and municipal service taxing units. <br /> Section 3. Severability. If any part of this ordinance is held to be invalid or <br /> unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,the remainder of this ordinance shall not be <br /> affected by such holding and shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> Section 4. Codification. It is the intention of the Board of County Commissioners that <br /> the provision of this ordinance shall become and be made part of the Indian River County Code, <br /> and that the sections of this ordinance may be renumbered or re-lettered and the word ordinance <br /> may be changed to section, article or such other appropriate word or phrase in order to <br /> accomplish such intention. <br /> Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective upon enactment by the <br /> Board of County Commissioners and filing with the Department of State. <br /> This ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press Journal, on the 20th day of May, <br /> 2013, for a public hearing to be held on the 4h day of June,2013, at which time it was moved for <br /> adoption by Commissioner , seconded by Commissioner , <br /> and adopted by the following vote: <br /> Chairman Joseph E.
