Mora, P.E., Public Works Director <br />From: Lynn Williams, Facilities Manager/Project Manager <br />Subject: Crime Scene Unit- Release of Retainage- Donadio and Associates <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On September 8, 2009, the Board approved a Professional Services Agreement with <br />Af Donadio and Associates, P. A. to perform a spatial needs analysis and site master plan <br />(Phase 1) and design of an evidence storage facility (Phase II) for the Sheriff. <br />Work Order #1 in the amount of $27,500 included evaluation of the structures and <br />systems for renovation as a solution to the space needs identified in the Phase I work. <br />Professional fees for the construction and bidding documents for the reuse of existing <br />building were approved by the Board in Work Order #2 in the amount of $219,802.00 on <br />June 19, 2012. <br />The agreement called for 10% retainage on all invoices for design services. Attached is <br />a list of amounts which have been held. Donadio and Associates has requested release <br />of amounts held on invoices for the design document phase of the work. With the <br />project approaching 60% completion of the construction phase, staff supports this <br />request.
