Kafer,Jr., P.E., County Engineer <br /> July 9, 2013 Agenda Item <br /> FUNDING <br /> The proposed design services provide for a lump sum fee of $77,785.00 and not-to-exceed fees of <br /> $24,930.00 for construction related services (which will be paid on an hourly basis) and reimbursable <br /> expenses of$2,000.00, for a total of$104,715.00. <br /> Funding for the design of the repair of the two(2)existing rifle range baffles is budgeted and available from <br /> Account No.00416172-033490,MSTU/Shooting Range/Other Contractual Services in the amount of$630.00. <br /> Funding in the amount of$104,085.00 is available from Impact Fees/Parks/Sporting Clays Course-Skeet Trap, <br /> Account#10321072-066510-12001. For FY 12/13, $590,000 has been budgeted for this project. Under the <br /> County's code, all funds collected from recreation/park impact fees shall be used for the purpose of capital <br /> improvements to recreation/park facilities under the jurisdiction of the County and not for maintenance or <br /> operations. Such acquisitions and improvements shall be those which are necessary to accommodate new <br /> growth and development in the County. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the Board (1) find that the expansion of the Shooting Range is necessary to accommodate <br /> growth in the county and that such growth will benefit from the expansion and (2) approve the proposed <br /> agreement with Donadio and Associates, Architects, P.A. in the amount of $104,715.00 and authorize the <br /> Chairman to execute the agreement. <br /> ATTACHEMENTS <br /> 1.
