Smith, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller� 07— <br /> And <br /> Diane Bernardo, Finance Director <br /> DATE: July 26, 2013 <br /> SUBJECT: Dori Slosberg Driver Education Safety Act <br /> Indian River County Traffic Education Program Trust Fund <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On August 20, 2002, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance Number 2002-026 <br /> (W creating the Indian River County Traffic Education Program Trust Fund (our fund 137). This <br /> ordinance authorized a $3 traffic ticket surcharge, which is collected by the Clerk of the Circuit <br /> Court. On September 19, 2006,the Board adopted Ordinance 2006-035 to repeal this fine. <br /> Attached to this memo is a report of the revenues and expenditures from the inception of the $3 <br /> fee (October 1, 2002) through June 30, 2013.
