2/24/88 <br />ibmird <br />LR -Planning <br />DCN/v3 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 88- 13 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />LAND USE AND TRANSPORTATION ELEMENTS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN: ENLARGING THE COMMERCIAL/ INDUSTRIAL NODE AT C.R. 512 <br />AND I-95 FROM 650 ACRES TO 665 ACRES, ENLARGING THE <br />COMMERCIAL NODE AT OSLO ROAD AND 27TH AVENUE FROM 58 ACRES <br />TO 60 ACRES, ENLARGING THE COMMERCIAL/ INDUSTRIAL NODE AT <br />OSLO ROAD AND 74THmAVENUE FROM 450 ACRES TO 690 ACRES, <br />ENLARGING THE S.R. 60/I-95 COMMERCIAL/ INDUSTRIAL NODE FROM <br />650 ACRES TO 790 ACRES, REDESIGNATING 145 ACRES SOUTH OF <br />69TH STREET AND EAST OF THE LATERAL "G" CANAL FROM LD -2 TO <br />LD -1, ESTABLISHING A MIXED USE DISTRICT ON THE EAST SIDE OF <br />U.S. 1 FROM A POINT SOUTH OF 35TH STREET SOUTH TO THE VERO <br />BEACH CITY LIMITS, ESTABLISHING AN LD -2 LAND USE DESIGNATION <br />FOR THE RIVER EDGE SUBDIVISION RECENTLY DEANNEXED FROM THE <br />CITY OF SEBASTIAN, AMENDING THE NOMENCLATURE OF ROADWAY <br />FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATIONS OF THE COUNTY THOROUGHFARE PLAN, <br />ADDING 43RD AVENUE BETWEEN 69TH STREET AND 77TH STREET AS A <br />SUBDIVISION COLLECTOR STREET TO THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN, <br />CHANGING THE FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION ON THE THOROUGHFARE <br />PLAN FOR 73RD STREET EAST OF U.S. 1 FROM A SECONDARY <br />COLLECTOR STREET TO A SUBDIVISION COLLECTOR STREET; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes requires that <br />local governments prepare and adopt Comprehensive Plans; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has adopted a <br />Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Florida Statutes, and, <br />WHEREAS, Florida Statues provide for the amendment of <br />Comprehensive Plans twice per calender year; and <br />WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission, sitting as the <br />local planning agency, has held public hearings and made <br />recommendations concerning these amendments, and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has held public <br />hearings at which parties in interest and citizens were allowed <br />to be heard; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has determined <br />that these amendments are consistent with the general spirit and <br />intent of the County's Comprehensive Plan; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that: the <br />Comprehensive Plan, be amended as follows: <br />
