Planning Committee shall annually review transpor- <br />tation priorities and make appropriate recommenda- <br />tions for approval to the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION: <br />Objective - All roadway improvements should be coordinated <br />with appropriate local, regional, and state agencies. <br />Policy Statement: <br />The County will cooperate in all A-95 Review* <br />processes and develop internal coordination of <br />local agencies and departments. <br />STRATEGIES: <br />Traffic Engineering <br />Division <br />incorporating <br />all major <br />- The County will <br />continue to <br />cooperate with <br />local <br />municipalities <br />in the development <br />of roadway <br />projects. <br />Transportation Improvement Program - The County will develop <br />a Transportation Improvement Program (T.I.P.) as a five-year plan <br />This T.I.P. will be reviewed and updated annually. <br />Airport Development - In anticipation of the fact that <br />approach safety zones may be extended into unincorporated areas, <br />the County will establish development controls consistent with <br />Federal Aviation guidelines as needed to protect the safety of <br />air traffic, residents and property. <br />Port Development - The County will examine on a site -by -site <br />basis, the development of marina facilities for commercial <br />fishing and recreational boating.
