Bid #91-60_- Replacement of 20th _A_ve_n_ue__Bridge <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/19/91: <br />DATE: June 19, 1991 <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: James E..Chandler, County Adminis ator <br />H.T: "Sonny" Dean, Director <br />Department of General Service <br />FROM: "Fran Boynton, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJ: IRC Bid 91-60 <br />Replacement of 20th Avenue Bridge <br />Public Works -Engineering Division <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Board of County Commissioners previously awarded the contract <br />for the replacement of this bridge to B.K. Marine Construction, <br />Inc. on May 14,-1991 in the amount of $462,134.00. The Contract <br />Documents are now being presented for approval and execution by <br />the Chairperson and attesting by the Clerk. We have had four (4) <br />contract documents executed in the original by the --proposed <br />contractor, B.K. Marine Construction, Inc. We have received all <br />necessary insurance certificated. The bonds are presented with <br />the contract documents. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Chairperson to <br />execute documents. <br />L 21:991 <br />L: <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bowman being absent) authorized the <br />Chairman to execute the contract documents with <br />B.K.Marine Construction, Inc., for replacement <br />of the 20th Avenue bridge as set out in the above <br />staff recommendation. <br />CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE ON FILE IN <br />THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />9 BOOK 83 PAG' d <br />
