"Sonny" Dean, Director <br />Department of General Servi <br />FROM: Fran Boynton, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJ: Information and Referral Directory <br />Vero Beach Main Library <br />On an annual basis, the Vero Beach Library has 2,000 copies of an <br />Information and Referral Directory printed for distribution to <br />various agencies. This directory is printed in cooperation with <br />the Indian River County Council of Commnity Services, the Senior <br />Coalition of Indian River County and the North Indian River <br />County Library. Historically the printing of this directory has <br />cost the County less than $5,000.00. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The Library prepared a written quotation outlining the specifica- <br />tions and mailed it to fifteen (15) of our local printers <br />requesting quotations. Thirteen (13) vendors submitted a <br />response with prices ranging from $5,803.00 to $11,003.47. <br />(Exhibit A) . <br />SOURCE OF FUNDS: Information and Referral Grant Funds. <br />FUNDS AVAILABLE: $8,511.00 <br />I have reviewed the written quotations submitted and recommend <br />that the Board waive the legal advertising requirements for any <br />purchase over $5,000.00 and accept the low bid of $5,803.00 sub- <br />mitted by Coastal Graphics. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously waived the <br />legal advertising requirements for any purchase over <br />$5,000 and accepted the low bid Coastal Graphics <br />for the information and referral directory for the <br />Main Library in the amount of $5,803 as recommended <br />by staff. <br />11 BOOK & r <br />f„ur.c� <br />AUG 6 1991 <br />
