CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING AGREEMENT W/PSI-I.R.BLVD III <br />The Board reviewed memo from the Capital Projects Manager: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: Roger D. Cain, P.E., County Engineer , <br />FROM: Terry B. Thompson, P.E., <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Construction Materials Testing <br />Indian River Boulevard Phase III <br />IRC LOI 91-81 <br />..DATE: July 29, 1991 FILE: irbtest.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Staff has successfully negotiated terms of an agreement with <br />Professional Services Industries, Inc. (PSI)/Jammal Division <br />for construction materials testing services during <br />construction of Indian River Boulevard Phase III. <br />The attached agreement outlines the specific services to be <br />provided. Compensation will be on a unit price basis for <br />the actual amount of testing performed and technical time <br />expended up to a maximum total "Not to Exceed" budget of <br />$50,000. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute the Agreement as <br />written. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Re -Negotiate contract terms. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of Alternate No. 1. Funding is <br />from 309 -Indian River Boulevard North. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the Agreement with PSI for <br />construction materials testing services as recommended <br />by staff at a not -to -exceed budget of $50,000. <br />SAID AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD. <br />�UC)K Ci Ft,i,1.3 <br />41 <br />AN <br />
