Tuesday, August 6, 1991 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida., met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />August 6, 1991., at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Richard N. <br />Bird, Chairman; Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Margaret C. <br />Bowman; Carolyn K. Eggert; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Also <br />present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; William G. <br />Collins, II, Assistant County Attorney; and Virginia Hargreaves, <br />Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Dr. G. Julius Rice, Pastor, Community Church -United Church <br />of Christ, gave the invocation, and Attorney Collins led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Eggert -requested that the ribbon cutting cere- <br />mony for the new County Health Building be added under her <br />matters as Item 131)(2), and Chairman Bird wished to add under <br />Proclamations and Presentation acknowledgement of a plaque <br />received from the City of Sebastian. The Chairman later also <br />requested the addition of a report on the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee recommendations under his matters. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner -Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously added the <br />items described above to the Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATIONS_ AND PRESENTATIONS <br />Chairman Bird informed the Board that we have received a <br />plaque from the City of Sebastian acknowledging our support and <br />contribution to their 4th of July celebration, and he would like <br />to have Mrs. Forlani, the Board's Administrative Assistant, write <br />them a letter expressing our thanks. <br />BOOK <br />AUG 6 1951 <br />
