ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Chairman Bird being absent) approved proceeding with <br />in-house design, permitting, and bidding to <br />construct the project; and authorized the Vice <br />Chairman to execute the agreement with Kimley-Horn & <br />Associates for surveying. <br />SAID CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />Commissioner Scurlock wished to clarify, and Utility Services <br />Assistant Director Harry Asher confirmed, that all design work on <br />this particular project would be done in-house, with the exception <br />of the survey. <br />IXORA WAREHOUSE PROJECT - FINAL PAY REQUEST <br />The Board reviewed memo from Utility Services Director Terry <br />Pinto dated August 1, 1991: <br />DATE: AUGUST 1, 1991 <br />TO: JAMES E. ASHER <br />PREPARED BY: ASSISTANT DIREC10TWmrI1LITY SERVICES <br />;SUBJECT: IXORA WAREHOUSE PROJECT - FINAL PAY REQUEST <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On January 29, 1991, the Board of.County Commissioners approved <br />the <br />contract and change order No. 1 with Hunley Hubbard Construction <br />and <br />change order No. 2 was approved on July 2, 1991. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The construction is now complete and the Department has received <br />the <br />C.O. and the final pay request from Hunley Hubbard Construction. <br />Recommendation: <br />The Staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that <br />the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached final pay request <br />.in the amount of $4,267.00 and authorize the chairman to execute. <br />15 <br />AUG 1 1991 <br />L <br />F <br />
