He explained that sometimes, during <br />construction work, laborers must wait around on the job site while <br />equipment is moved or a specific task is completed. <br />Edward Waddell of Vero Beach wished to inquire about having <br />his agricultural exemption removed, and Commissioner Scurlock <br />advised him to discuss his exemption with Property Appraiser David <br />Nolte, <br />and that <br />if <br />it is <br />not resolved, to file an appeal to the <br />VAB by <br />tomorrow <br />at <br />5:00 <br />P.M. <br />The Chairman determined that no one else wished to be heard <br />and closed the public hearing on the General Fund. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />a tentative millage rate of 4.6423 (3.40% under roll- <br />back) for the General Fund for FY 1991/92. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />a tentative budget of $40,584,377 for the General Fund <br />for FY 1991/92. <br />TRANSPORTATION FUND <br />Administrator Chandler explained that the Transportation Fund <br />budget essentially is comprised of Road 8 Bridge, Public Works, <br />County Engineering and Traffic Engineering. It does not have a <br />millage, but is indirectly funded by taxes to a certain extent <br />through our General Fund as well as the General Purpose Municipal <br />Service Taxing Unit (GPMSTU). The total proposed budget is <br />$8,511,016 and contains an expense increase of $254,589 or 3.08%. <br />8 <br />r <br />
