Keatin A <br />Community Developmen Director <br />THRU: Sasan Rohani 514t• <br />Chief, Long -Range Planning <br />FROM: Cheri Boudreaux Fitzgerald <br />Senior Planner, Long -Range Planning <br />DATE: September 13, 1991 <br />RE: TRANSPORTATION DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY COORDINATOR (CTC) <br />EVALUATION <br />It is_requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their regular <br />meeting of September 24, 1991.. <br />DESCRIPTIONS & CONDITIONS <br />On May 8, 1990, the Board of County Commissioners approved the <br />transmittal of the county's application to the state to become the <br />local Designated Official Planning Agency (DOPA) for the provision <br />of transportation disadvantaged planning activities in the area. <br />The State's Transportation Disadvantaged Commission (TDC) <br />officially notified the county by letter of its approval as the <br />DOPA on June 15, 1990. <br />On July 24, 1990, the Board directed the- staff to contact the <br />appropriate state agencies and the Council on Aging regarding their <br />suggested. appointees to the Transportation Disadvantaged Local <br />Coordinating Board (TDLCB). The Board also nominated Commissioner <br />Margaret C. Bowman as Chair of the TDLCB. <br />On August 14, 1990,'the Board officially appointed the members to <br />the Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board (TDLCB). <br />On August 23, 1990, the TDLCB discussed and recommended the <br />approval of the Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC) <br />selection proposal to the state's TDC. The state TDC approved the <br />appointment of the CTC in October of 1990. <br />On September 19, 1991, the TDLCB reviewed and approved the CTC's <br />annual performance evaluation submitted herein. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The Community Transportation Coordinator's (CTC) approval by the - <br />State Transportation Disadvantaged Commission (TDC) is for a one <br />year probationary period and requires the submission of an annual <br />evaluation report of the CTC's performance by the Transportation <br />Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board (TDLCB) (copy attached). <br />The evaluation report has to be reviewed by the BCC/DOPA for <br />recommendation on whether or not to continue with the current CTC. <br />uflnI V~1 FII <br />I <br />
