Tuesday, October 1, 1991 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 1, 1991, <br />at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Present were Richard N. Bird, Chairman; Gary <br />C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, Margaret C. Bowman <br />and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Also present were James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and <br />Patricia Held, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Richard Speck of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of <br />Vero Beach gave the invocation and James Chandler. led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />County Administrator Chandler requested the addition of Item <br />11, E, regarding a rate change in O1d.West,Fire District tax. <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the addition of Item 13,D,1, <br />Legislative Delegation and Item 13,D,2, Regional. Planning Council. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously added the <br />above items to the Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATION _ <br />Chairman Bird read aloud the following Proclamation in Support <br />of Red Ribbon Weeks and presented it to Cheryl Ann Burke, Director <br />of the Substance Abuse Council: <br />ROOK F;.UE <br />0 CT 11,991 <br />
