Commissioner Scurlock suggested that the remainder of the <br />property could possibly be used in a utilities service aspect or <br />some other County use. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />_It was voted on and carried 4-1, Chairman Bird <br />voting in opposition. <br />After adjournment, Attorney Collins reported that the property <br />had been sold for $56,000. <br />PRECINCT 25, FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, WINTER BEACH, REQUEST FOR FILL <br />DIRT FOR PARKING LOT <br />The Board reviewed memo from Supervisor of Elections Ann <br />Robinson dated October 30, 1991: <br />h <br />October 30, 1991 <br />1.14 <br />TO: <br />..'DICK BIRD, CHAIRMAN, BCC <br />FROM: ANN ROBINSON, ' SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS <br />,RE:1. `ITEM UNDER CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICERS FOR BCC AGENDA 11-5-91 <br />We have been asked to have some fill dirt put in the holes in <br />the parking lot at the First Baptist Church in Winter Beach,' <br />'-the polling place for Precinct 25. - <br />-The church*is for sale, but there is no buyer as yet. The <br />pastor, Randy A. Berry, has said we can continue to use the <br />church as a polling place until it is sold and that we can use <br />the new church when it is built. i <br />Jim Davis, Director of Public Works, said the maximum cost to <br />fill the',holes would be $280 including fill, labor and grader, <br />Because of the cooperation of the church and our need of a <br />polling place for Precinct 25, we would ask your approval for <br />Public Works to comply with the request. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />authorized Public Works to fill in the holes in the <br />parking lot at First Baptist Church which is used as <br />the polling place for Precinct 25, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />01 <br />0V 1991 <br />I M <br />BOOK 84 PA, E <br />
