Nov 1991 <br />BOOK FA;C 1P41 <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />DESIGNATING November 10 through 16, 1991 <br />AS EMPLOY THE VETERAN WEEK <br />IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, Florida has the fourth largest population of <br />American military veterans in the nation; and <br />WHEREAS, Florida's veteran population is growing more <br />rapidly than that of any other state; and <br />WHEREAS, Floridians are proud of the service veterans have <br />rendered our natiop to secure the blessings of liberty for all; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, many veterans have been unable to find employment <br />within the boundaries of Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County supports a Veterans' Bill of <br />Rights and is committed to ensuring that our veterans are <br />accorded honor and respect, granted preference in job training <br />and hiring and assisted in obtaining all benefits and services to <br />which they are entitled; and <br />WHEREAS, the skills, training, knowledge, and maturity of <br />veterans make them an asset to any enterprise: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the week of <br />November 10 through November 16, 1991 be designated as <br />EMPLOY THE VETERAN WEEK <br />in Indian River County, and all citizens are urged to convey to <br />our veterans how much we appreciate the sacrifices they have made <br />for our country, and urge all prospective employers to employ <br />veterans. <br />Adopted this 12 day of November, 1991. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Richard N.
