Funds are collected from various traffic fines and <br />i related court proceedings as authorized by Chapter 401, Part II, <br />Florida Statutes. These funds are deposited into the state EMS <br />Trust Fund with forty percent of the funds collected being used for <br />the EMS Matching Grant Program. <br />!Matching Grant applications have been prepared describing the needs <br />and proposing matching grant objectives and time frames in which <br />;the objectives will be obtained. <br />This, in all probability, will be the last year for the next two <br />years that county matching funds and county awards money will be <br />_ available. It has been expressed by the State EMS office that the <br />available funds for the next two years may be utilized by the State <br />of Florida to off -set State deficits. <br />50 <br />
