Nov i �, 1991 <br />BOOK <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 91-174 authclrizing a- matching grant <br />application to Florida !Department of Health and <br />Rehabilitative Services for System <br />Evaluation/ Quality Assurance project, and Resolution <br />91-175 authorizing a matching grant application to <br />Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative <br />Services for Emergency Transport Vehicles project, <br />as recommended by staff. <br />RESOLUTION 91-174, WITH A COPY OF GRANT APPLICATION ATTACHED AND <br />RESOLUTION 91-175, WITH A COPY OF GRANT APPLICATION ATTACHED, ARE <br />ON FILE IN THE OFFICEIOF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9L 174 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR FUNDING COUNTY <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS)' MATCHING <br />GRANT AWARDS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE STATE OF <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND <br />REHABILITATIVE SERVICE$. <br />} WHEREAS, The Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative <br />Services has announced that applications for funding County <br />Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Matching Grant awards are now <br />'being accepted and a grant application has been prepared for Indian <br />"River County; and <br />WHEREAS, an application for matching grant funds fiscal year <br />i 1992-93 had been prepared by thelCounty; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM- <br />MISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman is <br />authorized to sign and execute the application for matching grant <br />funds certifying that monies from the EMS Grant Program For <br />Counties will improve and expandthe County's pre -hospital EMS <br />system and. that the funds will ot be used to supplant existing <br />County EMS budget allocations. <br />j The foregoing Resolution I was offered by Commissioner <br />EageCt who moved itsa option. The motion was seconded <br />by Comm ssion r gcurinck 4, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as*follows: <br />Chairman Richard N. Bird <br />Vice -Chairman Gary C.
