RECOM+IENDATI ON : <br />,A <br />Staff recommends the Board approve the agenda item and the FY -92 <br />Radiological Emergency Preparedness Agreement as amended. Staff <br />also requests that the Chairman be authorized to execute the <br />necessary documents to finalize the agreement allowing Indian River <br />County to receive the full grant potential of $60,506 as originally <br />approved at the August 20th Board of County Commissioner's meeting. <br />Staff also recommends approval of a budget amendment as necessary <br />for the funds to be received into the General Fund. <br />Commissioner Eggert asked if this is going to involve any <br />additional staffing, and Administrator Chandler explained that <br />funds were included in the original grant. Had it gone through <br />the State, we would have lost $4200, but with the direct pass <br />through from FP&L, we get the full amount of the grant. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />the FY -92 Radiological Emergency Preparedness Agreement <br />as amended; authorized the Chairman to execute the <br />necessary documents to finalize the agreement allowing <br />Indian River County to receive the full grant potential <br />of $60,506 as originally approved at the BCC meeting of <br />August 20, 1991; and approved the necessary budget <br />amendment for the funds to be received into the General <br />Fund. <br />COPY OF SAID AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO <br />THE BOARD <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE - TWO RESIGNATIONS <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that we have received letters of <br />resignation from James R. Lieffert and Vern Toulson. Mr. <br />Lieffert is finding it impossible to attend the meetings because <br />of the pressure of business matters, and Mr. Toulson is moving <br />out of state.
