`7 <br />F7 <br />Community —Development Director Bob Keating explained that <br />rezoning has been considered by the Board on two previous occasions <br />and at the November 19 meeting the Board voted to change the land <br />use designation on this piece of property to commercial. This <br />rezoning was also scheduled for that November 19 meeting but <br />because of an advertising glitch, we had to postpone until this <br />time. Mr. Keating also noted that the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />approved this request in April 1991 and staff recommends approval. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. There being none, he closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 91-50, amending the Zoning Ordinance and <br />the Accompanying Zoning Map from RM -6 to CG for the <br />property generally located west of U.S. #1 and <br />southeast of Roseland Road, as recommended by staff. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 91- 50 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE ACCOMPANYING ZONING MAP FROM RM -6 TO <br />CG, FOR THE PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF U.S. # 1 AND <br />SOUTHEAST OF ROSELAND ROAD, AND DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND <br />PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, sitting as the <br />local planning agency on such matters, has held a public hearing <br />and subsequently made a recommendation regarding this rezoning <br />request; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, did publish and send its Notice of Intent to <br />rezone the hereinafter described property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that <br />this rezoning is in conformance with the Comprehensive Plan of <br />Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has held a public <br />hearing pursuant to this rezoning_ request, at which parties in <br />interest and citizens were heard; <br />37 <br />DEC 17 1991 'Roor <br />
