Chairman Bird announced the retirement of Virginia Hargreaves <br />and presented a plaque with the following proclamation: <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />WHEREAS, Virginia Hargreaves, known affectionately as <br />"Ginny" announced her retirement as Supervisor of the <br />Recorders of the Clerk to the Board effective December 31, <br />1991; and <br />WHEREAS, Ginny Hargreaves joined the Clerk to the Board <br />as a part-time employee in 1973 and in 1975 became a <br />permanent full-time employee, and was promoted to Supervisor <br />of the Recorders of the Clerk to the Board in 1982; and <br />WHEREAS, Ginny Hargreaves' dedication to public service <br />and integrity in dealing with the myriad problems that <br />copfront the Deputy Clerk and her understanding of the <br />problems of the citizenry of Indian River County is <br />unsurpassed; and <br />WHEREAS, Ginny Hargreaves' rapport with all past and <br />present elected members of- the County Commission and <br />Constitutional Officers, in-house personnel, and the <br />citizens of Indian River County has resulted in having a <br />well-informed, reliable, office staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a few of the major County projects that come <br />to mind that she took Minutes for and, was involved in, was <br />the 17th Street Bridge; obtaining of the Tracking Station <br />property; development of the Sheriff's Administration <br />Building and Jail Complex; Indian River Blvd. Phases I <br />through IV; the first Comprehensive Land Use Plan and more <br />recent the Growth Management Plan; the Sanitary Landfill; <br />the Gifford Sewer and Water project along with numerous <br />other uti-lity projects; and <br />. WHEREAS, we know that her retirement is well-earned and <br />we appreciate the legacy of achievements which she leaves; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the <br />Board expresses deep appreciation for the service Ginny <br />Hargreaves has performed over the past 18 years on behalf of <br />Indian River County, and her colleagues wish to express <br />their appreciation on her outstanding career on behalf of <br />local government.- _ <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that our heartfelt wishes for <br />her success in future endeavors go with her. <br />day of December, 1991. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />4:� `c/ r` �.. •� <br />Richard N.
