Baird( <br />'OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND -CONDITIONS' <br />The Tourist Development Council met on December 10, 1991 to discuss reallocating -the <br />Arts Council $15,000 that was for the Bourbon Street event. Festival <br />�... ,. 04-04-92 $15,000 <br />Air S ow <br />y. <br />b <br />04 <br />1-1 <br />n <br />z�n <br />s <br />0 <br />$ o0 <br />Ti,...: <br />•E <br />Summerfest s?:. ,: <br />•:�": 08/1-9/92 �< <br />57,000 <br />�•°::, <br />•,�r�:FeDsmereNo Application -to <br />� RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the amounts approved <br />by the Tourist Development Council <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />reallocation of $15,000 as approved by the Tourist <br />Development Council, as recommended by staff. <br />Chairman Bird asked whether there was discussion at the <br />Tourist Development Council meeting regarding giving the Arts <br />Council a reduced portion because they have a reduced performance <br />planned for this year. <br />Commissioner Wheeler said there had been discussion about a <br />reduced amount but the Arts Council felt it would not be enough _ <br />and, in fact, asked for $3,000 to $5,000. There had also been a <br />suggestion that this program should not be funded by tourist taxes <br />and it is being studied. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />rid <br />BOOK <br />DEC 17 1991 <br />
