"Sonny" Dean, Dir=C30A <br />Department of General <br />FROM: Fran Boynton, Purchasing Manager' V/ <br />SUBJ: IRC Bid #92-76/Surplus Sale #2 1 <br />BACKG OUND: <br />The following equipment (attached sheet) has been declared surplus to <br />the needs of Indian River County. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff recamends that authority be granted by the Board of County <br />Cmmissioners to declare the above surplus and authorize its sale. <br />FUMING: <br />The monies received from this sale will be returned to the appropriate <br />accounts. <br />',1� � ��u�41a1�1� : it •�� <br />This will be placed on the Surplus Property Sale open to the public as <br />per State Statutes. <br />Commissioner Bowman inquired about the procedures of a surplus <br />sale and if it was advertised, and General Services Director Sonny <br />Dean explained that the time and place of the sale is advertised. <br />Usually these sales are held in the Purchasing warehouse, but this <br />time it probably will be held in the old Health Department Building <br />because we have such a large amount of items stored there. <br />Commissioner Scurlock understood then that before this goes to <br />public sale, notification is given to all County departments to see <br />if they can use any of the items. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />staff recommendation that the property listed below <br />be declared surplus and sold at a surplus property <br />sale open to the public as per State Statutes. <br />21 <br />
