Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: January 27, 1992 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF DELINQUENT TAXES <br />The Tax Collector has requested that the County adopt the attached <br />resolution cancelling delinquent taxes on land which the County has <br />recently purchased. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Board authorize the Chairman to execute this <br />resolution and the Clerk to send a certified copy of it to the Tax <br />Collector so that the taxes can be cleared. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 92-31, canceling certain delinquent taxes <br />upon publicly -owned lands, pursuant to Section 196.28, <br />Florida Statutes. <br />Re: CR #510 (Parcel #105) <br />1 /31 /92(1agaI) RESC) / Vlc <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92- 11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, CANCELLING CERTAIN DELINQUENT <br />TAXES UPON PUBLICLY -OWNED LANDS, <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 196.28, FLORIDA <br />STATUTES. <br />WHEREAS, section 196.28, Florida Statutes, allows the Board of County <br />Commissioners of each County to cancel and discharge any and all liens for <br />taxes, delinquent or current, held or owned by the county or the state, <br />upon lands heretofore or hereafter conveyed to or acquired by any agency, <br />18 <br />
